Podcast Introduction
Welcome to The Table We Grew Up At
In our very first episode, we’re pulling up a chair and inviting you into the place where everything started for us — the table we grew up at.
We’re siblings who were raised in the Anabaptist world, and that upbringing shaped us in ways we’re still unpacking. Some of it was beautiful. Some of it was heavy. All of it was real. And around that old kitchen table, we learned to laugh, question, argue, dream, and process life together.
In this introduction episode, we share:
• Who we are and what it was like growing up in a rigid Christian environment
• The stories, quirks, and chaos that shaped our family dynamic
• Why we created this podcast and what we hope it becomes
• How our faith has shifted, stretched, and survived the journey
• What listeners can expect as we talk honestly about deconstruction, healing, and finding God outside the boxes we were handed
This podcast is for anyone who grew up in strict Christian circles, anyone wrestling with the Anabaptist way of life, or anyone who just needs a place to process their story with people who get it.
Our hope is simple: that this space feels like coming home — loud, honest, grace-filled, and full of life.
